Course Description: This course describes the four core exercises of a program, and alternatives to those exercises for patients who cannot perform them, or programs that choose not to use them. This course also describes how to gauge and interpret exercise intensity and breathing intensity, and patient data to optimize exercise duration and progress. It is designed to be the second in a series of three courses pertaining to pulmonary rehabilitation. The course is primarily intended for the health care professional managing and/or staffing a pulmonary rehab program – but may also be useful for other professionals who have tangential relationships with a pulmonary rehab program, such as the physical therapist, physician, dietician, physical therapist, hospital administrator, nurse, etc.
